About Dr. Brian
Dr. Brian Hollander received a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University and spent many years working in the communication field. It was after he began to practice the art of Aikido and received certification as a personal trainer, that he chose to pursue further study. With a true passion for helping people and for learning, Dr. Brian graduated magna cum laude from University of Bridgeport with a Doctor of Chiropractic.
He continued his post-doctorate studies adding certification in FAKTR-PM and advanced certification in Graston Technique soft-tissue mobilization.
Throughout his professional career and formal education, he continues to study martial arts including Aikido, Kuntaojiujitsu (achieving brown belt), Krav Maga, Vee Arnis, Grappling, Tai chi chuan (Yang long form), and Tae Kwon Do. Martial arts were historically intended not only for self defense but also for basic exercise. They teach concepts of strength, agility, and, most importantly with respect to chiropractic, posture.
Dr. Brian has taken the lessons embedded in these arts and now makes them available to his patients. He has achieved the level of instructor in the art of Neuron-do, a martial art designed to optimize brain function and body function and features this instruction at his office on Broad Street in Milford and in Norwalk with Dr. Douglas Demassa.
Dr. Brian also continues to support his profession and is an active member in the Connecticut Chiropractic Association, as well as a member of the American Chiropractic Association.
